2 pounds sirloin steak, sliced into thin strips
⅔ cup water
⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp light brown sugar
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp fresh ginger (minced)
2 tsp garlic (minced)
For the sauce: 3 tbsp cornstarch mixed with ⅓ cup water
Place the sliced sirloin steak in your slow cooker.
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and honey. Mix well.
Pour the sauce mixture over the steak in the slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the beef is tender.
About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch-water mixture to thicken the sauce. For rest of time, cook on high.
Serve the slow cooker teriyaki beef over rice or noodles and enjoy your delicious meal!
