▢12 oz. can tuna, drained
▢⅓ cup real mayonnaise see substitutions in the post
▢¼ cup sweet pickle relish see substitutions in the post
▢2 Tablespoons red onion, minced
▢1 stalk celery, minced
▢1 Tablespoon lemon juice
▢1 Tablespoon flat-leaf parsley
▢1 teaspoon dried chives if desired
▢½ teaspoon garlic powder
▢¼ teaspoon kosher salt
▢½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Drain the water from the tuna and place it in a medium mixing bowl.
Next, add ⅓ cup real mayonnaise,
¼ cup sweet pickle relish,
2 tablespoons red onion, minced,
1 stalk of celery, minced,
1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixing bowl of tuna.
Then add 1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley,
1 teaspoon dried chives,
1 teaspoon garlic powder,
¼ teaspoon kosher salt,
½ teaspoon ground black pepper and combine together using a rubber spatula.
Be sure all of the ingredients are well blended.
Serve on your favorite bread or a bed of lettuce with crackers.
Delish! Exactly how I make it. However, I needed to use up some roasted Poblano peppers and removed the seeds and added them to our Tuna Salad Sandwiches with lettuce. They bumped up a notch and Wow 😮 Maybe give it a try?
