German Style Kraut with Pork Chops.

8 pork Chops, center cut

2 pounds sauerkraut, drained well

1 large Delicious Red Apple, sliced and quartered

1 large onion, chopped

1 cup light brown sugar

1 tbsp Caraway seeds

Preheat the oven to 350*

Place a large skillet over medium-high heat on the stove

Brown the pork chops on both sides for about 5 minutes each

Place the pork chops in a 9×13 baking pan

In a bowl combine the sauerkraut, cut apple, caraway seed, onion, and brown sugar and combine well

Spread the sauerkraut mixture evenly over the pork chops

Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil

Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. Test the pork chops to be sure they are no longer pink and have an internal temperature of 145*
