8 oz sirloin beef, sliced
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water
2 cups scallions, cut into strips
2 cups yellow onions, cut into strips
1 cup red onions, cut into strips
1 cup jalapeño pepper, cut into strips
2 Tbsp oil, divided
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sesame oil
Cut the sirloin beef into slices.
In a bowl, season the beef with soy sauce, sugar, white pepper powder, cornstarch mixed with water, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix well and let it marinate for a few hours.
Cut the scallions, yellow onions, red onions, and jalapeño pepper into strips.
Heat a pan over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of oil and minced garlic.
Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until slightly browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Increase the heat to high, add 1 teaspoon of oil to the pan, and add the cut scallions, onions, and jalapeño pepper. Keep stir-frying until the onions and peppers are slightly browned.
Add the beef back into the pan, then add soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Keep stirring and cook for another 30 seconds.
Add sesame oil, give it a final stir, and your Scallion Beef Stir-Fry is ready to serve.
